Shaanxi HanDe Axle Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "HanDe Axle"), with its predecessor as Shaanxi Automobile Company Axle Factory, was jointly invested by Weichai Power and Shaanxi Automobile Group in 2003.

HanDe Axle is a large high-tech enterprise integrating R&D, manufacturing, sales and service. With four production bases located in Xi 'an, Baoji, Zhuzhou and Tongchuan, and an annual production capacity of 1.5 million axle assemblies of all kinds, the peak sales revenue over 13 billion CNY.  HanDe Axle has two wholly-owned subsidiaries, HanDe Axle (Zhuzhou) Gear Co., Ltd., and Shaanxi Jinding Casting Co., Ltd., totally 5,400+ employees, in which 4,600 employees from home office and 1,200+ R&D engineers.

The product portfolio mainly covers the four sectors, truck, bus, off-road and electric drive axle. It fully covers light, medium and heavy duty trucks over 2t, buses over 6m, wheeled cranes from 12t to 4000t, wide-body mining vehicles from 40t to 180t, agricultural equipment over 180 horsepower, full series of wheeled excavators, loaders and electric vehicles. HanDe Axle has leading advantages in reliability, lightweight engineering, high efficiency, long oil change interval, maintenance-free, low noise and intelligence.

HanDe Axle posseses a national-level laboratory, a provincial-level technology center and a post-doctoral research workstation. In 2007, HanDe Axle exported axle assembly technology to India, it was China’s first case of technology export in automobile industry, marking the breakthrough of China's automotive manufacturing industry transforming from product export to technology export.Since 2010, through 17 years’ exploitation and practice, HanDe has taken the lead in completing the electric transformation in full product range, achieving the pioneering market launch of a full series of electric drive axle products.

HanDe Axle is in possession of 700 axle related patents. With the outstanding contribution in the project of "Key Technology and Application of Heavy Commercial Vehicle Powertrain", it was awarded the first prize of Chinese National Scientific and Technological Progress Award, making it the only axle enterprise in China to win this honor.

Guided by the strategy of "Automation - Digitalization - Intelligence", HanDe Axle kicked off application integration innovation, expedited intelligent manufacturing progress, and built an intelligent manufacturing demonstration factory in the axle industry, which was awarded the national intelligent manufacturing demonstration factory in 2023 and listed in the first batch of national excellent intelligent factories.

HanDe Axle aims to craft high-end products with a global vision, with its sales volume ranked No. 1 for ten consecutive years in China, and Top 3 in the world with accumulative  annual production and sales of axles exceeding 10 million sets. Supported by a global network of 50 parts center, 410full-series authorized service stations, 110 new energy service stations, 124 bus service stations, and 56 wide-body vehicle service stations，the company provides all-round service to users worldwide.
